This project was carried out in two separate phases .The first phase was located at No’s 1-4 Windmill Lane on the corner of Windmill lane and Creighton Street. The south of the development faces onto Hanover Street East. This phase involved the demolition of six number lowrise commercial premises and residential properties containing asbestos. The crushing of the concrete material was relayed on site to be used as a piling mat. The second phase was located between Windmill Lane and Sir John Rogerson Quay. This involved the demolition of two five storey apartment blocks, the removal of an underground carpark and the demolition of four commercial units. All the concrete material was crushed and reused on site to back fill the basement area. Part of the specification of this contact was the establishment of a platinum LEEDS certification
