Walmac Ltd was formed in 1993 by Martin Walshe and Gerry McIntyre, both of whom have extensive experience in major demolition contracting in Ireland.

Walmac Demolition EC Ltd specialises in the following areas of construction:


	Demolition:
	Demolition of existing structures to facilitate the construction of new buildings.
	Façade Protection:
	Due to the nature of redevelopment within the city environments significant conservation works may have to be carried out. This could include the retention of old structures or façade of buildings all of which will require special support systems until new structures are completed. Most temporary construction must be designed and developed to facilitate the development of new structures in an economical manner.
	Asbestos Removal and Disposal:
	Under Health & Safety regulations an inspection must be carried out on existing structures in order to identify any asbestos based materials, and if found they must be removed before any new work commences. All asbestos based materials have to be disposed of to a specific licensed location. Walmac Demolition EC Ltd can carry out reports, removal, disposal and certification of such material.

Site Clearance/Bulk Excavation
Walmac Demolition EC Ltd provides all sub-structure services including underpinning, trench sheeting, and bulk excavation. Walmac Demolition EC Ltd also constructs underground basements and car parks to a very high standard, creating a sound foundation upon which the super structure can be constructed.

Inner City Redevelopment
Walmac Demolition EC Ltd carries out inner city demolition that requires the retention of adjoining properties by our team of specialists. This requires dilapidation reports and close liaison with adjoining buildings, which Walmac Demolition EC Ltd carries out.

Plant and Equipment
Walmac Demolition EC Ltd together with M&P Construction has invested in modern plant and equipment, allowing us to carry out all types of demolition and enabling works.


	Martin Walshe Managing Director Co-founder of Walmac Demolition EC, Martin is an expert in demolitions, site clearance and facade retentions. His 30 years involvement in a wide range of projects for blue chip clients provides Martin with extensive experience, allowing him to expertly plan and skilfully execute major demolition, site clearance and enabling works contracts and advise Architects and Engineers accordingly

	David Walshe Contracts Manager David has eight years experience in the construction industry. David has a diploma in Civil Engineering and Project Management. He has been involved in the day to day management of various commercial and residential projects both from the demolition and re-construction aspects.
